Frequently Asked Questions
How are we charged?
A credit-card is required to establish a ParkFox account. For the ‘Pay as you go’ plan, the card will be charged at the end of the month – based on the number of paid tickets. The ‘Pay per officer’ and ‘Enterprise’ plans are charged at the start of the month.
Is the Zebra RW220 mobile printer the only printer option?
Yes, we have chosen the Zebra RW220 for a number of reasons; it is industry proven, extremely well priced and the most globally available industrial mobile printer for this application. With the established reseller network, there will never be an issue regarding ticket supplies, warranty and accessories! If you are using the ParkFox iphone app then you need the WIFI RW220. The Bluetooth RW220 is used with android devices. More information can be found here.
Where do we get ticket supplies from?
The Zebra RW220 printer uses standard 2 inch ticket rolls, these are typically available via commercial printers in most cities. The tickets are usually pre-printed with your logo/branding and specific terms & conditions – the ticket supplier will help design and prepare the tickets for your organization. ParkFox HQ also supply tickets – we can design, print and ship globally. Further information can be found here.
Does it cost to set up and receive payments to my bank account via park-pay.com?
Absolutely not. You will need to supply us with details of the payment gateway that you use and we will organize the rest. If you are not familiar with online payments, this is how it works – essentially a “payment processor / gateway” links the website (park-pay.com) with the users credit-card and your bank. If you are new to payment gateways then a good place to start is with your bank – ask them if they have a preferred gateway/processor, then contact us and we will do the rest. Note: Neither ParkFox or park-pay.com will charge you for processing the transaction however your chosen gateway provider will – they typically take a small fixed fee + a minor percentage eg. 50c per transaction + 3%. Please contact us if you have any questions.
When will the android version be availble?
ParkFox can currently be used on the iPhone. The android version is under development and due to be released in August 2012. The android version will of course work on any consumer smartphone but also on hi-end industrial android devices. Please contact us if you would like further information or if you are interested in testing the android app before it’s formally released.
